Education
at GISB |
|
|
|
|
Education
encompasses teaching
and learning specific
skills, and also something
less tangible but more
profound: the imparting
of knowledge, positive
judgment and well-developed
wisdom. Education has
as one of its fundamental
aspects the imparting
of culture from generation
to generation. Education
@ GISB means ‘to
draw out’, facilitating
realization of self-potential
and latent talents of
an individual. To achieve
these high standards,
GISB believes in the “Gurukul” system
of education, which involves
subjects being taught
by specialized and experienced
faculty with a methodical
and analytical approach
towards education. GISB
follows CBSE & IGCSE
(affiliation to university
of Cambridge UK) curricula
and is an official Cambridge
International Examinations
(CIE) Centre. Now GISB
is also one of the first
schools to offer the
ESOL (English for Speakers
of Other Languages) Certification. |

At
GISB, we encourage learning
through many ways, namely:
Kinesthetic: learning based
on hands on work and engaging
in activities;
Visual: learning based
on observation and what
is being learned;
Auditory: learning based
on listening to instructions/information. |

The
student teacher ratio
at GISB is maintained
at 15:1. Hi-tech labs
with state of the art
equipment & safety
features, AV enabled
classrooms & an ever-growing
enriched library with
the latest editions of
all the famous encyclopaedias,
science and various subject
journals complement to
the learning process. |

As
all students and teachers
are on campus, students
study hours are designed
in a way wherein students
are taught arduous subjects
during morning and evening
hours whilst effortless
subjects are taught at
times such as post lunch
wherein student attentiveness
is shortened. Evening hours
are also utilized to provide
specialized and individual
attention to those students
who are in need of the
same. |
